1 Peter

Peter’s first letter is rich with many great things to say to the Church, around the world and throughout all ages. This teaching series takes us verse by verse through this important document. In particular, three key themes will emerge:

Community: The things we have in common. The things that join us together, that strengthen our togetherness. Post-Covid and having been scattered and isolated, it will be good to spend time bringing focus to the things that glue us together. The Church, including you and me, is a “chosen people.”

Suffering: Following Jesus is painful. It is costly. What do we do when we face tough times? Many have had a particularly difficult couple of years during the pandemic. This letter speaks to believers who have pain and mess in their lives and brings hope.

Glory: God’s people are promised incredible things. His presence is with us. Eyes are lifted and hope comes alive.
