Day 19: Kept In The Love Of God

"But you, my friends, keep on building yourselves up on your most sacred faith. Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and keep yourselves in the love of God, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.” 

Jude 1:20-21

Jesus has laid a holy foundation for our new lives following Him. It’s up to us to build on that foundation for our lives. This is our work, we need to do it ourselves, no one can do it for us, we can be helped but it is our effort that is required to build our lives to bring glory to Him.  

To grow, we need to pray and to communicate with our Heavenly Father, and when we invite the Holy Spirit into our prayer time, we will find our prayer time will be amazing and He will reveal things to us to build us up.  

The best way I find to keep in the love of God is to focus on him first thing in the morning…. “Good Morning, here is the new day you have given me Lord, please help me to stay close to you throughout this day.” My I-Pad used to tell me Facebook was the first app I opened on my I-Pad. I have made some changes, it now tells me Bible gateway is my first app!  

So we grow, and pray and keep ourselves in the love of God .
