Day 14: A Flood Of Justice
“ Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice, and endless river of righteous living.“
Amos 5:24
In the previous verses God was warning the Israelites to repent and turn from their sin; “Come back to me and live.” He wasn't interested in their show and pretence of religion through their festivals and sacrifices as the way they were living did not reflect justice.
What does the way we are living say about us?
Do we love our neighbour, seeking the best for those around us, give generously of our time and money, speak up for those who can’t speak up for themselves?
To see an endless river of righteous (in our towns and communities) starts with us as individuals, the changes we make, the things we do day to day.
What can we do today that will make a difference to a neighbour or work colleague?
