The Apostles’ Creed
The Apostles' Creed is an important summary of Christian belief, based on Biblical truth.
The Creed is Ancient. Written in Second Century Rome, it is one of the earliest summaries of what Christians believe. It’s stood the test of time!
The Creed is Narrative, beginning with creation, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, to final resurrection. This is important because the Bible is one big story, with a beginning, a middle and an end.
The Creed is Trinitarian. It is presented in three sections, God (Father, Creator), Jesus Christ (birth, death, resurrection and judgement), Holy Spirit (and church).
The Creed is Universally recognised. All churches around the world – all major denominations- use this creed. Catholic, Orthodox, Coptic, Protestant.
