Our two pantries are like mini pop-up shops which open once a week to help Whitley residents who are struggling with the cost of living.

We open on Tuesdays 1-3pm at Whitley Wood Community Centre, RG2 8UG and Wednesdays 12-2pm at Hexham Road Community Centre, Bamburgh Close, RG2 7UD. Residents choose whichever pantry is most convenient. Once signed up, members pay £5 to choose 10 items, which includes tinned and packet food, plus household cleaning, health and beauty products, as well as nappies. 

This is all made possible by members of Reading Family Church who donate groceries and volunteer their time during the pantry sessions.
